1997 Sunfire engine dies when standing in hot condition

This has happened twice. Once in heavy stop and go traffic after driving about 20 miles the engine stalled. Engine would start but car would not move. Today after driving about 25 miles, I stopped and tried to reverse and the car stalled.
I can start the engine but when I try to move it stalls.
This is a 2.2L engine with automatic transmission.
It appears that the idling speed drops so low when the engine is hot that the engine quits.
Two times in the past the Check Engine light came on but was reset.

Remove and clean the idle air control motor on the side of the throttle body. Easy job just remove two bolts and it will come off. Spray with throttle body cleaner and it should clean right up, just don't move the pintle when you have it off the car. The other item is potentially an overheating crank position sensor but I think the IAC cleaning will correct the issue.
