you'd have a ton better luck selling it on e-bay or in your local newspaper or online classifieds. not many people here are looking for a 420a.

Yes i've tried that.

Don't think it was too good of an idea to post for sale pics with a bunch of tools laying around it. Good luck tho, I'm trying to sell my RS too.

I'm guessing there's not much love out there for the beige interiors, lol.

My girlfriend doesn't care how much time I spend on my car or how much money I spend on it. She understands that it's my hobby and it always will be so she accepts it. It's pretty nice to have a girl that understands that for once. lol

My girlfriend drives a little 2005 honda civic four door non vtec thing. She is not into cars at all. And when I hug my cars she just looks at me strange.

But I drove her honda. It was the first time I ever drove a honda before, and I don't understand how anyone thinks they can get one of those things to move faster than a ford pinto.

Also can I just get the little clip that holds the driverside visor in position. mine is missing and my visor slides around and smakes me in the head sometimes when I am driving.

Yeah, I wish my girlfriend was into the stuff I'm into too. Well, I wish she wouldn't have decided I wasn't good enough for her and taken a break from me either. :( Now she's talking about dating other people to make sure I'm the one for her. Girls really suck sometimes.

So you guys think what she said sounds bad? I am really confused right now. I have been going back and forth thinking it's not that big of a deal or I would not get back together with her if she did that. I've been with her for over 3 years and I love her very much so this whole thing has been pretty damn hard on me lately.

I totally feel your pain man! Damn, 3 years! Keep at it brother..some people aren't even married that long!

My girlfriend and I have been going out for 1 year plus, and we are having some problems :disappoin ...Now she is going through this "phase", because I am 17 (18 in 6 days!) and she is 19. We fight alot, mainly do to my "weight issue". (Guys...Im about to get sympathetic now!) So do to the fact that I am kinda overweight, I promised her I will lose weight (I have already lost 15 pounds!! Thank you, Thank you)

Soooo, what I am trying to say is just work at it, and also maybe you might have to change your ways to suit her needs.

Anyways, Good luck and stick at it bro!

I hear ya man... Relationships aren't exactly easy. I'd rather rebuild my motor than go through some of the fights I've been through... Here's what I think you should do... Sit her down and talk to her about it. Tell her how much she actually means to you and how much it kills you to not have her by your side. Tell her how much you want to be with her and that you will do as much as humanly possible to show her how much you care and love her... If she throws that "I wanna make sure your the one" card out there, give her the old "I know I'm the one for you" card. hehe... If she trys to counter it with a "how do you know?" Tell her "If I wasn't the one then I wouldn't be putting everything I can into this relationship." Trust me, a little talk like that will straighten her right out. Girls fall head over heels for those kinda conversations and you'll have her back in no time at all. Unless you did anything to treat her like shit beforehand... Then you may have a bit of a problem...

I'm the looove doctor :sunglasse lol

EDIT: Now that I think about it, we are posting about love in a "eclipse for sale" thread. lol wtf?

YET ANOTHER EDIT: Maybe we should get a subforum for love, lol. Does anyone else remember when that dude had the thread going about getting his girlfriend pregnant and what he should do. Lots of people was telling him to buy a minivan, lol. I'm sure someone has to remember that thread too.

Nayr747
11-23-2005, 02:43 AM
Yeah, sorry I messed up this thread lol. It just kinda went into this whole relationship thing. Take mercy on me Josh. Lol.

Absolutegtr, me and my girlfriend have the age problem too. I'm 22 and she just turned 24. So she is starting to feel old and not as far in her life as she would like. She's thinking about marriage, kids, career, etc. And weight issues are a problem with us too.

Blackcrow, I've told her all that man. I've done it in kind of a stupid way though. I asked her to go to dinner with me, then after dinner we got in my car (hooray!), and I tried to talk to her about all the issues she's brought up and all the other things she's said, and to tell how much she means to me. We ended up crying and hugging each other. At the end of the night I went to say goodbye to her in her car and I gave her a kiss real quick and stood up. She pulled me back down and gave me a nice long kiss and said I love you. So I was actually feeling pretty good about things. My problem is though, I have tried to talk to her about it so much in the month and a half since we've been on a break that I think it's just pushed her away. Every time after we talk about it on the phone she ends up getting extremely sad and upset and can't do anything for a day or two, which screws up school, etc. So I have tried to just not think about this whole thing but eventually I get sad and break down and call her again and make her sad.

I know I need to just suck it up, improve my life, work on the things that she said, and stop nagging her about us. But every time I think that I could actually lose her or that she could be dating someone else I can't take it and I get increadibly depressed. I really don't like antidepressants but I just started taking them so I can do what it takes to get her back. Hopefully it'll work.

There are way too many issues to tell you guys all about here, but I didn't treat her like shit. I tried really hard but there were a lot of things I could have tried harder at. Basically, I became depressed about 2 yrs ago and didn't know what to do about it. It was really weird to me and I didn't know where to turn. I started to feel like there was no way out and I just gave up. It caused a lot of problems between us but she stuck by me. I told her 'if you want to be happy then leave me.' (yeah, it was pretty bad sometimes.) She is also really stressed right now (she and her family can't even afford health insurance, her mom got in a bad car accident and now has no car and she may also have breast cancer, she may be failing the one class that allows her to get into her major, me, etc, etc).

Anyway, thanks for all your help guys. I really appreciate it. And sorry again for screwing up your thread elcipsebabe. But free bumps. :)

Its cool man, I'm sure nobody cares that the thread has gone off topic. Threads never seem to stay on topic in this forum... But, I am wondering where eclipsebabe went... Must have been a one time post and leave... Anyways... Stick to it man, hard work will get ya through it all. If my girl and I can make it through the things we've been through, then anyone can make any relationship work... But yeah, thats just my thoughts on it. Good luck dude...

OT stuff--

To those who have lost weight, t-fucking-up. Hard thing to do.

I got a pic of me humping my car

You badass.

I'd rather rebuild my motor than go through some of the fights I've been through

I feel that.

Girls really suck sometimes.

I got bitter after my last relationship of 4yrs. ended. I'm into BDSM, now. I tell girls what to do. I don't necessarily recommend it, as it can be emotionally vapid at times.

And, don't start drinking.

Now she's talking about dating other people to make sure I'm the one for her... <snip> So she is starting to feel old and not as far in her life as she would like. She's thinking about marriage, kids, career, etc.

This is likely more a reflection of where she's at in life, not so much the relationship. Do what you can, but there's only so much you can do. Live by the Taoist ish; effort and resignation. Do what you can, while you can, and then chill as you let things take their course.

It's obvious that you love the girl, try and work it out.

Keeping you on edge about the status of the relationship doesn't let you work on things together or get closure. You're in limbo. Still, as much as possible, like you said, suck it up and stick with it. When people are happy they self-reenforce their emotion; happy people run, talk with family, work on their cars, and get more happy. Sad people reenforce their pain; sad people sit inside alone, drink, and get more sad. You have to break that cycle as much as you can. I was depressed in my Frosh summer, and the only thing that broke me out of it was being proactive.

If you're depressed, see a therapist. Since you're on meds, I assume you are. Feeling better about you is the best thing you can bring to the relationship.

Best of luck.

Why does she care if you loose weight? You shouldn't have to change your physical apperance for her to like you. But its cool that your are willing to do that for her. Honestly if she does end up dating someone else, I can almost PROMISE you she will come crawling back to you b/c no one treats her as well as you do! TRUST ME bro! Just hang in there. I'm here for ya too if you need some advice just pm me.

Im in the middle of a three year relationship right now (three years on Dec. 11th :D) and I have been blessed with a nice, good looking, down to earth girl. We hardly fight and if we do its over stupid stuff that lasts for like a half an hour b/c she gets mad about STUPID shit and she finally realizes it.

Ok, i didnt want to get into details here, but I will, now that everyone else is...

I've yet to be in a succesful relationship. I'm 20, and nothing has worked. Mine refuse to last for more than a couple months. For some reason, I always get stuck with the weirdos... the ones that cheat, lie, and arae 2-faced. Sometimes I didn't take it seriously enough, so I'm to blame there. But I'm romantic, nice, sweet, and I care. Moms love me too. ;-)

I got dumped on my senior prom... by a junior... not even half way through dinner. Beat that one.

I've seen it all, or most of it. Heard all the excuses and all the BS. So I have a plan that's been in place for awhile now. Just have fun. I've been running into a lot of girls back from HS and just having fun with them. ;-) If you get my drift. Same goes with girls from work too. So basically, relationships are not my thing, but being single and playing the field apparently is. It's all in the atitude. Good times.

Oh, and congrats on the weight loss!! That's awesome, keep up the good work buddy.

I forget where I was going with this post. We need to stop guys. Next, they'll be a bunch of grown men on here crying. One thing I don't want to see.

Beat that one? okay.

I came back from an eight month long deployment to Iraq back in 03 thinking about my wife the entire time. To my wife picking me up at the airfield, I was right off the plane from Iraq and she told me she needed to take her boyfriend a magazine. And she used the word boyfriend.

No it's no problem. Aside from wanting to bash her head into the steering wheel of her piece of shit altima. I restrained my urge and got out of the car as we came to a stop at a stop sign, grabbed my bags and stayed in a hotel until I could find an apartment. Needless to say I started my divorce papers asap and I never have really talked to her but maybe twice since then.

Wow... just, wow. That's insane, man. That's one thing I'm kinda afraid of with going to the army. If I did find someone before I left, would it still be the same when I came back?! Sorry to hear that, but look on the bright side: you'll find someone better and luckier.

I've noticed that life is one big circle loop thing. Everything always comes back around. I was so pissed when everyone from HS stopped talking to each other, and now we're all getting back together. There's a couple instances lately like that that has been happening. Everything is coming back around, but better. Hard to explain, but I like it.

I'm in the Marine Corps and I am very acostomed to life in the military and I mean if you start thinking about joining the military. What are your reasons? I mean if you are going for college money or good job experience, I am going to tell you hands down to join the airforce. They treat their people so good, and if you do have to go overseas it's never for more than about four months at a time. Where as the army is a year and the marines varies. And in most cases things work out when people go overseas but mine is just a shitty example.

I haven't seen anyone from highschool in a long time. One thing about the military that I have realized is that when I go home, I see the same people there doing the same shit that they have been doing the last four years since we graduated highschool. And here I am making twice the money they do and I've seen things they will never see and done things they will never do. And they will be doing the same things probably for the rest of your life.

Your life doesn't have to be a circle. Mines a straight line, I never do anything twice really, and I'm always moving forward.

david-b
11-24-2005, 12:40 AM
I wasnt saying lifes a circle, just things around you are in a circle. You're in the middle, looking forward, and the things are rotating around you. You see something oneday, and don't see it until it completes the circle back in front of you again. Weird theory, but that's just me.

I was almost signed up for the National Gaurd back in 2001. I was a junoir, then decided to hold off on it. Was pretty much all set to go to.

I still want to do it though. Been wanting to join the services since the 5th grade. I've been thinking that after I graduate college (Spring 07), of joining up. I really want to go. I like the disipline, and how people have a little more respect for you. I like hard work. I also like being in charge, which may be a problem in any service, but I have potential. :-)

Well if you go to college and graduate with a B.S or B.A. you should join the military as an officer definately. I mean, if you want discipline and people to respect you there is nothing more tough, challenging than being a Marine officer. But if that's to much you could join the Army. But really we just make fun of them alot, hahah. You could be an officer in the navy. Fly jets or something. I mean I would recommend officer wise, the Navy first than the marines. And the best thing is, you get to be in charge a lot as an officer! a lot!

Nice. I've always wanted to be in the AF. I wanted to fly, but I got classes. :-( 20/20 vision is required. What exactly do the officers do? In the army, marines, and navy?

Well if you want to fly the Navy is way better for flying than the airforce. I'm not sure about the 20/20 vision. Because I know alot of our officers wear glasses or contacts. So might check it. But if officers aren't pilots, int he Army and the Marines they could be a large number of things. Alot of them are Infantry officers where basicly they have a platoon of 40 or so men and they lead them in combat. But they also have jobs for like transport officers or operations, jag officers. I mean there is so much that you could list here.

In the navy they do alot with ships. Like working with nuclear reactors of course alot of the bridge crew is officers. But in any non-infantry job in any branch, you are always going to have a bunch of people under you. And if you are going to be an officer I would suggest the navy for flying and non-flying because you can get into very technical jobs as an officer and get paid some very very very good pay.

Like I make about 36k a year. An officer starting makes close to 50k a year.

Bah. Who cares. hahha. Here a break down of the pay for ya.

Alright here is a breakdown. This is for all branches. Now the base pay for an 0-1(Lowest officer rank) is $2,416 before taxes and you get paid twice a month. But ontop of that money you get money to live off base in a house and the rate is determined by zipcode. This money is non-taxable. Also they give you an allowance for food. This money is non taxable as well so. Here is the breakdown.

$2,416 (2218 after taxes) (basic taxable pay)
$1,370 (Bah rate for San Diego)
$167.20 (Food money)

$3755 (total, with taxes taken out)

Also you get free medical and dental and you don't pay for it.
