brake/abs vibration and noise

Lately when I lightly brake it feels like my abs is coming on. It makes that grinding noise and the brake pedal vibrates under my foot. Could that be a bad sensor or a dirty sensor on one of the wheels? Where are the sensors on a 95 continental, on the cv joints? Thanks

Have you checked for warped rotors? Uneven wear? If so, I'd change the brake pads while I'm at it. My two cents :-)

No, it definatelly isn't a problem with the pads or rotors, its the abs. If you have ever hit your brakes on the ice with abs, you'll know what I mean. You here the abs pump motor wind up, you feel choppy pressure pushing back on the brake pedal, and you hear a grinding noise from the pump regulating pressure to each brake.

I have checked all the wheel speed sensors and those test good. I am also not getting any trouble codes. Has anyone ever had this problem?
