i just replaced my engine in my 98 trans am with a mint conditioned LS1 with less than 10k miles. Y IS MY METER STILL READING 99K MILES??? ANY1 HLEP

ummm your odometer??? it dosnt change. lol, seriously, its not going to cout how many miles on the current engine. its gonna keep on going so you will know how many miles are on the car. so just write the mileage down when the engine was put in, then when you want to know your mileage you subtract that number from the total number of miles. you cant change the odometer. its illegal

It shouldn't change. Rolling back your odometer is extremely illegal even if you do replace the engine.
