the last three times I turned the ignition on to start the deville I noticed a odor of something electrical getting hot and now the heater blower motor is not working. Is there any way to test the blower motor or is there some module that might be blown and if so where would it be.

any help is greatly appreciated

You can hook 12 volt power to the motor momentarily to test it.

it turns out the blower motor was defective so that has been changed for a used one and that works great.
