I think that the four door drifters are the coolest ones because, I dunno I just think that it looks so neat to see something like a laurel or a chaser to be up there sidways. Kinda refreshing compared to all the 240sx and stuff. Favourite car is deffinetly Yoshinori Koguchi's JZX100

I'm interested in the Solstice GXP that Rhys will be picking up, guess Pontiac wan't more PR for this car. http://stadium.weblogsinc.com/autoblog/videos/HiRezPics/SolsticeGXPDrift04.jpg
I wonder if Rhys will still be able to pull off his pit manuvers in this car. Seems kinda small to use on some of the drivers. Gotta admit Rhys knows how to play tactics in the corners.

Until someone starts drifting a classic mustang the 69 teamfalken camaro.
That probobly wont happen and if it does its stupid, cause like the camaro it would have to have such extensive modifications to it (such as suspension) that it would be very unethical. plus it would be annoying to have to clean the rust up after it drove out there. lol

Theres nothing stupid about being differant thats how tuner cars became popular for god sakes. Besides guys do the same type of mods but using differant geometry for drag racing. Theres nothing wrong wanting to drift an american car the only bad part about fast and the furious 3 is they stuck a fucking rice burner in an american classic. I have nothing against ricers their motors just dont belong in a muscle car.

nothing wrong with doing somthing new but it is stupd because it takes so much more work to do an old car like that. Its like the Millen's GTO, they had to change were the suspension mounted and every thing. But i agree that putting a JAPANESE (not ricer) motor in a Mustang was stupid, but if you think a RB25det is a rice burner your sadly mistaken.

I personally like the sport of drifting and admire the amount of work the pros put in their cars. I however dont know shit about anything with less than 8 cylinders and a carb. I would love to enter a drift event some time but it wouldnt be in a import car it would be some big old american car that nobody thought could do it but thats just my style. Anyway really all you would have to do to a Mustang is weld up a watts linkage on the back of the rear end with some good tracion bars plus the lsd or spool whatever suits your fancy. Not to mention take alot of practice runs. I can't remember where I read about it but i saw an article about come guy in Cali i think that was drifting an old El Camino with a 355 small block in it which I think is fucking awesome what about you guys?

yea that would be "bubba drift" drifting the Camino, he is great but i dont think he will be drifting anymore cause he cant get enuff sponsers. But American Muscle cars are so heavy and dont have stiff enuff suspension much less drifting puts so much on a cars suspension parts that all those 30 year old parts would have to be replaced becasue they would break so fast. But it is possible and i do think the Camaro and the El Camino are sweet but they need alot of work to be competitive with cars that are 30 years yonger with 30 more years of technology. Suspension is the most important thing in drifting and im sorry to say but many old muscle cars just dont have that. Of course its possible but very un practical. I would like to see some 5.0 Fox Body Stangs, they have 5 link and plenty of power i dont get why not many people have tryed to drift them.

Rally im not sure of b/c theres no where to do it around here. It just depends really on what kind of car you use and the track and theres alot of variables. You could prolly find a good used Monty Carlo for about 3000 and there pretty cheap and easy to work on but they do have a 4 banger class at most tracks now and a 240sx would tear it up there but most guys use the fox body mustangs or pintos I think its actually called " Mini Stock" if Im not mistaken. A descent used ministock runs around a grand but its just like any form of racing the more money you throw at it the faster you can be. I personally am a Figure 8 driver b/c its a lil cheaper and if you have a figure 8 track near you its pretty cheap to get into and alot of fun.
