99 Marquis battery light goes on and off

I have a 99 Grand Marquis and everything is going fine untill about a month ago the red little battery symbol light on the dash will come on and off while driving. I have a amp guage also, but that shows everything is fine. No major discharge or charge indications.
I was suggested that I need to change my battery as it is getting to be 6 years old. (Original Mgf battery) the green eye on the battery is showing green and that is an indication that the battery is fine I am told.
I have noticed that I have moisture/water in my right headlight assembly. I removed all the moisture but the light still comes on intermetenly as I drive. Thought that was causing the warning light but I guess not. Has anyone else had this problem before?
Thanks in advance for your help

On my 98 it was the alternator. Take it to autozone and they will check it free.

Have the alternator properly diagnosed by a qualified shop. Also, the green light in the battery eye is not a good indication of the battery's start of charge. All it is there for is an indication it may be going bad. So, I would replace the battery and then check the wiring connections on the back of the alternator before anything else. To properly diagnose the charging system, the battery must be fully charged.
