Go through there and see what you can find. I seriously doubt you will find anything, a 2.2 OHV is not an engine worth modding IMO.

Why not worth modding?

Its a OHV or pushrod engine. They are great engines for reliability, but they just dont have much potential. Even built and boosted I would be suprised to see one past 220 hp. They have good low end but a lower redline and the power curve drops off pretty quick. The aftermarket for that engine is pretty small too, even if you wanted to build it, finding parts wouldnt be easy or cheap. If you want to build a Cavalier I would suggest one with an ecotec. I think that its a pretty cool engine.

Because it's S-L-O-W. If you want to mod a car...get something else...and if you really want it to be a cavy, get a Z or one with the 2.2L Ecotec.

Bah, whats the fun of modding if its not a challenge. And there is a guy on the org with a 2.2 I believe around 250hp.
jbodyperformance.com sells a cam for our motor too. Not cheap, and unless you do it yourself install will be rediculous. But it would be cool to be one of the few owners to actually take on the challenge of building a 2.2!

I wouldnt say fast. I mean the stock motors are decent but fast? i mean the only have from the factory 145hp. I mean its not bad. Its faster than a civic if you consider that fast. Now dont get me wrong i love my car and my motor but i dont consider it fast. Decent but not fast.
