well guys at 3 today i did it.....i wrecked my damn car. its gone, no fixing it, ill have pics later this week, its not good. started raining and the damn thing hit some water and the ass slid out from under me. hit hydroplained right into a ditch..... a deep ditch. the front end is screwed, the side isnt any better, i thing i may have bent the frame a bit, but the sub frames saved alot of it. oh well....now my ls1 engine is for sale, and ill have to just get a ls1 car and deal with those damn front headlights that i cant stand....oh well, what can a guy do. thank god my black ass is still in one piece, ill have the pics later...ill let u guys know whats the deal, ill be parting what i can out on it. 2morrow im taking off of work to go to the shop and rip her apart. another f body to her grave...that sucks ass...sorry guys

I've been plating around with an LT1 and a LS1 on Gran Turismo 4(both black) and I can say from 97-98 they look like totally different cars. I know that may sound weird but the headlights and bumper make a difference.

^^ Was about to recommend the same thing actually. It would be pretty ingenious since everyone would think it's an LT1.

Edit: Not to mention the older style parts are alot cheaper since everyone is trying to upgrade to the newer style parts. Actually you could probably just trade your front end with someone else who has the older front end for free.

its all good, the strange thing was 2 guys from my club just so happend to drive bt right after it happend. i left my cell phone in the house and i couldnt remember nobodies number so one of them went to my house to get my sister for me. but the funny part is how while the cop is asking me what happend those 2 fools remembered i was sponsored by bmr and they are calling dibs on my shit not even 15 minutes after the wreck...lol. and the hood ready for this, came up and the damn thing didnt get touched...i couldnt beleave it. give me a couple of days and ill have a list of what can be sold....dont fight guys (thanks for sticking up for me) but im not mad at all...im surprised how calm i am, and my loss can be some of your gain. im sorry i couldnt get any of the engine stuff for u guys, it looked fucked up bad upfront but ill know for sure later today, but ill have pannels, the hood, door, t tops, bose speakers, interier, and a few others..oh the slp cold air intake came right off the boot so its ok, windows, and maybe a few other things. but yes im ok, and no need to worry about gold operating on me...lol j/k man, like i said, its when u drive all safe u wreck.....smh

Dude i know the feeling all too well. I had 2 minor accidents in my iroc due to hydroplaning. no ABS brakes. Get this, both of these accidents happened at less than 20mph. glad to see ur ok. cars can be repaced but people can't. after i sold my iroc, i say to myself everyday "I will have another". good luck on ur search for an LS1 car.

It should directly swap over with no problem. From what I heard, GM gave the Camaro's and Firebirds the facelift in 98' to better stay in competition with the Mustangs. Can't remember where I read that from, so I could be wrong. But I definately know that the old front end style would have no problems at all with an LS1 in it.

you also might wanna consider keeping the ls1 engine, since you are planning on getting an ls1 camaro, what if the engine in the new camaro gets flood damage like your orginal 3.8?

I just got convicted today for speeding(Better than the reckless driving I talked down though...) and I think I'm going to sell the Camaro... It's a 94 Z28 with 195k miles... but in excellent condition. The shocks are squeeky, and the front driver's 1/4 panel has a crack in it(parkinglot accident... not frame damage or anything), interior in great condition. Needs a paintjob for you to probably think it's worthy lol, but I think I'll let it go for $2k.

and to set the record straight... You CAN swap an LS1 into an LT1 car, you just can't use the LS1 style air lid... You're probably best off fabbing a CAI.
