85 Bronco II wont start

I recently put in a new starter on my bronco II, I started it 3 times and when I went for the fourth, It would not start, It wouldnt turn over, nothing.... It was acting like a ground was disconnected someplace. I then took out my starter and made sure the ground was connected still, and the ground to the frame was still intact, they both were.. I replaced the selinoid 3 times, and the same thing happened..no attempt to turn over. just a ping like a spark sound and then nothing. I also changed the battery and charged them. WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM??
