'91 LX Headlight

Hello. I wondered why the driver's side headlight wasnt working on our Escort LX and I found that this is the problem.
Apparently the previous owner had done something to melt the headlight assembly/housing

This is a picture from holding the camera from behind the headlight.
Since it's like this the socket wont stay in. I can get a new headlight assembly from rockauto.com for $50. Now, this seems like a novice question, but is the driver's side "LH" or "RH"?

Driver side is left. Imagine it from sitting in the car.
