'sileighty'

hey guys,

just wanting to know what is involved in converting a 180sx into a 'sileighty' with a s15 front end, does it just basically bolt on or what changes is needed for it to fit.[/B]

i pretty sure you need to buy a conversion kit for an s15 front end all i know is that s13 and 180sx bolt straight on.

where would i get my hands on a conversion kit for the s15 front. is there a site i can look up for information on how to get one.

it should basically bolt on. I mean the fenders and shit are a conversion piece. THe rear is made to fit right up with the s13 door and the front for s15 bumper and hood and lights.

www.jspec.com may be more expensive, but they know wtf there doing.

For the record, a true Sil-Eighty is a S13 Silvia front end on a hatch 180sx. Putting a S15 front end is considered a 15-80, or 15-Eighty.

i don't know... I the ones I saw at Signal are sick... but what ever... can't afford it anyways; and I will never change my beautiful Pig Nose 240sx regardless!

if someone puts the s15 front end on an s13, they need to do the whole car up, as in the right sized rims with proper offset, body additions like skirts, lips, and the right spoiler. i don't think many s13s with s15 front ends look good at all.. haven't seen a good one yet i don't think.. but AWDSR20, the s15 front end is sexy as anything on earth, but it looks bad on the wrong car, just like that 'ferrari 240'.. ferraris are sexy but when you make another car look like a ferrari, its next to impossible for it to look really good..

yes ONLY on an actual s15 none of this cheapo shit the only conversion that looks good is sileighty and onevia if they have been done properly, no matter what an s15 front end will never look good on an s13 NEVER, well now that the dirty stuff is done with what is offset i hear it everywhere but i dont know what it is??

Assad you're about to hear something you might not like. You're what I'd call the recent group of people who are just now getting into 240s, the "new school". You're into big wheels, big lips, body kits, vivid colors, etc. That car is something only people who've had the love for the S-chassis over time, the "old school", could respect and love. Not to say they don't like the same thing as the new school, but sometimes you need to recognize the roots, the original shit, the old school right off the togue all business look. I <3 it.

dont like em yuk U.G.L.Y, all the rims are gross and the front end is too chunky, autosalon final battle is on next weekend i will take some photos of real 240's and post em next sunday or monday.

they look like AVS model 5's. Made by yokohama. And you do realize that you dont have to have "dish" lol to have a good wheel.....Iv seen plenty of mean looking te37's, rg's, tc's, etc. Dish seems like its becoming the "must have" lately. A good wheel is a good wheel. Which usually looks good regardless of maximum eat a bowl of cereal type dish or flush to the rim spokes. Either looks hot, with the right wheel. There's only 2 rims i want that have "dish". super advan racing ver. 2(black of course) and some volk gt-c's.
