Any body need a 4.3?

well, for those of you who don't know me, my name is Doug and im an active member on this board, and, im sure, a few people would vouch for me here... and second, yes i know this is not a sales board, but i can justify my hippocriticizum by, im not trying to sell some junk used programmer, or a 2.2l with a turbo on it, im selling the stock 4.3l v 6 from my 1998 chevrolet S-10. I am an uncertified machanic, going for cert. and work with 2 certified (one master) machanics, and both think i am absolutly nuts for getting rid of this moter, it is a solid strong maticulusly maintained truck, its inches short of show worthy, and i treat it with that respect. This sefi (means vin W) would make an excelet upgrade from a tb or an I 4 moter, it comes as a long block, with intake, and exhaust manifolds. I am keeping the parts that I need for the small block, the ring, starter, alternator, power steering, mounting brackets, etc. I am asking 850, moter is still in truck, you can come down to the shop and listen to it run, if you wish, and NO snow is on the ground, we can go around the block, but no farther, there isn't any ins. on the truck at the moment... I also still have the ECM (dont think its a pcm on our trucks, never looked honestly) and wiring harness that i have no use for, if you want these with the moter, i can cut you a deal, otherwise im asken 200 for the pair, and i converted to a sliding rear window, so i have the solid glass for a 95 and newer truck, make an offer if you need glass, reply here or PM me with any questions or interest, sorry for the long post.

Just want to say that I firmly believe that Doug would only ask for a fair price, and never try ripping everyone off.
If he's asking 850, the wreckers would probably be asking 1200

If I needed a 4.3L there is only 1 other person on this board that I would buy it from without any questions

850 is a great price, I've looked at junkyards, and even if you could find one this cheap, I would much rather buy this one, cause you know its been taken care of.

thanks bttw, mike and obp, i do take excellent care of my vehicals, especally for a kid, and as b_t_t_w said, a bone yard wants the same if not more then what im asken, and theirs come out of a vehical that sustained serious damage somehow.

and btw, if i dont sell it here within a couple weeks the moter will get pulled and put on e bay with the reserve set at 850, without the manifolds on it

do u still got the 4.3? and how many miles are on it, and also where are u located?

well im located in muskegon, Michigan, truck has 120k on it, not sure when last intake job was done, i can look it up and if its close to needing one, and if it is, while its out we can do it at the shop at pretty much cost of parts... trucks well maintained and you can listen to it run if you feel like running up here, if you want to just take it after hearing it run we can have it on the chains with the coolent still warm
