Hi, I am new to these forums, seems like it's an extremely helpful site!
I have a few questions regarding the older K5's/K10's.
I had an 86 and sold it a year ago, but miss the thing, so I am on the hunt for another. The one I am looking at is a 1985, with lots of extras. I'm a "mild" 4x4'er, but not a novice to trails, but have always relied on friends that knew what they were doing. I am about to buy the one I'm going to list below, but don't know much about the parts, etc, being used. My main question is, the guys father rebuilt the tranny and put in a shift kit, which makes it shift rather hard in drive. I've heard good and bad things about shift kits, but like I said, I'm not all that mechanically inclined, so I thought I'd ask here, as surely someone smarted than myself might be able to answer some basic questions.
Here is what the Blazer has to offer, please, if you have a spare moment, makes any comments, good OR bad!
Thanks so much:
New warn locking hubs, new 3.73 gears front & rear with eaton posi, new drive shafts front & double U-joint rear, new custom GS700R4 transmission, new 350 motor with fuel injection conversion, excell 100+ race wires, hood stiffiners, high flow cat, custom exhaust with 2 chamber flowmaster, 4 in lift, 35 pro comp all terrains mounted on 15x8 aluminum rimes, 6in pro comp brake lines, pro comp ES3000 shocks, K&N air filter, modine radiator, high output alternator, dual batteries, 1200 watt stereo, custom interior, tow package, 20000 miles in all new parts and motor. Have all papers for custom work! $4,500 obo
Does this sound like a decent deal???
Thx in advance for any feedback!
