Starter Replacement?

The starter on my '98 ZX2 "runs" but takes several tries before it engages the flywheel --- guessing it is the solenoid. Does anyone have the procedure for removing the starter?

you might have broken teeth on flywheel or starter drive.two or three bolts mount starter.

I was worried about broken flywheel teeth as well, but the flywheel turned out to be OK . --- This was my daughter's car and I hadn't done any work on it to this point --- it turns out the starter replacement was very straightforward -- for future reference: Remove air cleaner, remove battery, disconnect heater hose at firewall, three 13 mm bolts, drop gear end of starter down to access wiring harness nuts, pull starter out the top. (obviously someone may have a better procedure)
