Rear heating system

There is a pump that sends coolant to rear heating system in my silhouette. The pump runs fine when directly hooked up. I need to find which fuse to change or if itcould be the connection to the pump so it runs. (The van overheats within 2 minutes with this pump not running!) If we can get this pump running I am thinking it will take care of overheating problem. Any ideas?
