I have a 91 f250 diesle with auto OD .it seems that a switch or servo of some sort in the tranny is not dissengaging and killing the batteries.
I dissconected the batteries and reconnected .listening to a "click" that i traced to the transmission .behind right front 1/4 of the oil pan .I also put an amp meter inline between the battery post and cable .it showed a draw of 1.8 amps with no accessories on ,and the key in the off position.
Has any one else encountered this problem? its my first automatic in a truck .and i have very little experiance with them .I'm starting to regret ever getting an automatic.any ideas are welcome.
thank you
