New Tranny? Acceleration Problems...

Ok, I have a manual 92 GT w/ ~125K on it. I have virtually no acceleration. When I put t into gear, I have to lightly press the gas, otherwise the rpms will jump. If I push the gas to much the rpms spike, but if I let up on the gas, they will gradually drop, and once i find the 'sweet spot' it will start accelerating again. I assume its some type of transmission problem, but Im not sure. Its kinda hard to explain, but hopefully some one knows what i'm talking about :)

yeah, they should bring those things in on a recall. you shouldn't have to buy a clutch after only 12 years and 125k...c'mon guys! at 125k you did good. pony up for the clutch. BTW mine was $750 and they installed a squeak that took me a month to find and cure, so quit yer bitchin'.
