how do you use to remove clay?

Seems Ray get angry this time:naughty: I try search and I think I know in my mind every word in this site about cast resin, before take words...:iceslolan

No mans, I've a stupid problem: someone of you cast masters know how I could use to remove clay from molds? or do you think I could leave here and put over a lot of releaser, obviously it's only behind the 2 shell, cast area is clean (almost)

May be I use the wrong clay: it's a standard childs modelling clay I think not greasless; over that i use a silicon releaser!:disappoin

Obviously with 5 nails tech I haven't any problem, but with those rim I need a delimitation line inside, so i need clay (or something other)

ps: I try tiepid water, alchol but this f*****g clay won't leave from my poor mold

I think you are supposed to use a different clay.

I use Alumilites blue clay. No problems with it at all. Why do you have a pour and vent hole for your brake mold? Those can be a one part mold and pour from the top then scrape off the excess. They shouldnt be there unless you are making a two part mold.

The only reason I can think of for it to stick so badly is that it must have some form of silicon in its formula. Silicon should only bond with silicon (I think).

Don't be shy :) scrape away with a tooth pick like crazy!!! Also, try putting the mold in the freezer to get the clay REAAALLLLY hard and then try peeling it off ? What's the worst can happen :))

I got me some clay from an artists store since allumite is out of my reach.

in full sincerity it's just the first time I attempt to cast in 2 shells method: within now I cast only with 1 mould or with 2 moulds and 4+1 nails

so I fix the bug in the opposite way: with warm, also your one seem to work properly

yes: I need to search more around clays: my haven't silicone, it's just a vegetal compound right for childs

HLS and resin provider hasn't clay

Use Kleen Klay. Made for casting AND will dilute in IPA (of 70% or higher).
