Well I am helping a friend out with his 96 Dodge Avenger 2.5L. And recently he was having problems with it bogging real bad, took it to autozone and got codes P0134, P0160, P1391, P0340. They weren't exactly sure what the cause was said prolly the cam sensor causing all these codes but when they checked (price for a new one) the cam sensor was NOT SERVICEABLE or something like that. Well now it won't start at all, not getting any SPARK. What do you guys think the cause might be.

Hmm.. does the starter work ? do you hear it cranking ? Did you take out a spark plug and see if theres a actual spark when cranking the engine ? if not then something is wrong in the electrical system.. Was the car ever worked on by him ? if so, what did he do ?

yes the starter works fine, engine cranks good.
Removed plug wire from the Distributor and got no spark no jolt nothing at all. No he is mechanically impaired....lol

I think it is prolly the cam sensor or wiring issue somewhere, but the cam sensor is not serviceable on this model, the whole distributor needs to be replaced in that case, which is around $300 and I don't want to have him buying parts and replacing them because I THINK they may be the problem. I was hoping someone would have experienced this problem before and had a clear fix of it.

Thank You

I would say something with the distributor or the wires. Do a conductivity check to make sure the wires are conducting electricity. If so check the distributor. If not replace your wires.
