Are the rotors made of CF on these Enzos? I was looking at pics of the car and the rotors are a dark color. I'm doing a box stock build of the Revell kit and paint detail is most important.
Thanks
Robert

Not as far as I know. I don't think carbon fiber would handle the heat for braking on them if it were carbon fiber.

Tamiya gunmetal (X10) is a good color for them- about the right shade, and it has a somewhat grainy appearance, too.

Personally, if we're going by that photo I'd say Xf-56 Metallic grey is a better match. However having said that, the flash on that camera might have lightened the colour.

play with colors: gunmetal may be a litle dark if you perform a black shading after: try adding just some alu's drop

Not as far as I know. I don't think carbon fiber would handle the heat for braking on them if it were carbon fiber actually carbon is more heat resistant than most if not all metals, F1 cars use carbon disks on thier brakes, the enzo in this case used carbo-ceramic disks.

Not to mention most cars which compete at LeMans run carbon rotors and pads.

carbon fibre does not equal carbon (ceramic) brake disks.

Agreed. that's why I said Carbon FIBRE was not used. I wasn't sure of the correct name. I didn't say that CARBON wasn't used. just carbon fibre.
