Can you tell me what just happened????

I was doing one of my regular workouts:
pushups - 6 sets of 10
crunches - 8 sets of 10 (4 regular sets and 4 w/a tricep bar on my chest
curls - 3 sets of 10 (50 lbs)
lat pulls - 3 sets of 10 (40 lbs)
Bench presses 3 sets of 10 (120 lbs)
nothing extreme, and I was doing it like circuit training.
Directly after, I turned on Billy Blanks cardio bootcamp and was chugging along - THEN BANG!
halfway through the cardio, I got abnormally hot and weak, so I sat down. The CD gives you a normal sweat, but not dripping, but as I continued to sit there, sweat litterly began to pour down my body like I was in the shower, and I could only sit there and feel faint. This has never happened before. Did I over do it? Was that heat exhaustion?
I work out three times a week, and I rollerskate twice a week, about three hours per session, so this really caught me off guard.
any advice? :frown:

Where you hydrating properly as you did this? Had you eaten at all recently?

I think that's the cause of your problem then. Not enough water plus low blood sugar without any activity can cause those symptoms, but combined with vigerous exercise like you describer would really bring them about.

I've had the same thing happen to me, but I was out on my bike in the woods about 3 miles from the car. Sat down for a few minutes, drank some water and ate a power bar, felt alot better after that.

Sounds like your nervous system might have gone crazy. That happened to me a couple of months ago after I got out of bed in the morning. I was pouring myself some juice in the morning and I started feeling extremely nauseated. I laid down on the floor and within one minute I was drenched in sweat and was starting to feel better. Dunno what caused it, but it sounds like it might be a little like what happened to you only I wasn't excercising and was not dehydrated.
