Power door lock actuator replacement

I bought a 96 Avalon back in September from my folks who had purchased it new. It is a great car other than a few minor problems--such as the front passenger side door lock not working correctly. I have to push the electric lock button multiple times to engage/disengage the door lock (or reach over and do it manually :( ). I am thinking it needs a new actuator and I have never replaced one before. Does anyone have any advice, tips or instruction for this job?? I am thinking this job should not be that big of a deal but you never know :) I appreciate any advice or comments.
