many problems....

I have had my '93 chevy lumina for less then 6 months and I have had problems with it since the first day I bought it. First it was the O-rings and fuel injectors and the car lot replaced that for free but now I have had more problems with it. For about the past 4-5 months it has been idling wierd. I will come to a stop light or stop sign and it will stall or die. It will take a couple tries before it starts again. It also does this similar thing when I turn corners as far as wanting to stall or die. So we put a new EGR valve in it thinking that was the problem. Of course it wasn't. So then we put a new tranny into it. Since then we have put in 2 more trannys and it still hasn't solved the problem. Recently it stalls or dies when I start it up also when stopping still and then I will be driving for about 5-10 min. and the service engine soon light comes on. I'm not sure what is wrong with it because if I stop the car and shut it off and restart it, it runs fine. If ANYONE can help me PLEAAAASEEEE do. I cant afford to spend anymore on a car that I only paid $2,500 for. It's just not worth it to me to spend $1,200 to replace every tranny. Thanx!

Get it scanned for the code then post back.

sounds like a fuel or groound problem. Like Max said, have it scanned (or pull the codes yourself) so we know why the service engine light came on and post the results.

Is this a 1993 Lumina Z34?

Or is a lumina with a 3.1? If it is infact the 3.4 Lumina Z34, there was a tech bulliten released to fix teh phantom stalling problem that year for the engine..

well i took it in today to have it checked out because last nite i smelt gas REALLY bad. he said that it was the fuel injectors but then i talked to someone else and he said it sounded more like the O rings and not the fuel injectors. the O rings bust or something so i am goin to take it to the last guy i spoke to cuz he said it would only cost $25 for the fuel injectors if in fact thats what it is. the first guy said it was goin to cost $70 for them. so im just goin to take it to the $25 guy and have him fix it and hook it up to the computer thing and that way i can figure out EVERYTHING that is wrong wit the stupid car. i just dont know what to do. i have had to stick soooo much money into it already and ive only had it for the max. 5 months. so... i dont know. Does anyone know if there is something i can do to get my money back from the dealership? i know that there is a lemon law in wisconsin but its only for new cars or used cars that have a warranty on them. i just think its a buncha crap that ive had to put all this money into it for only having it for 5 months. i mean ive put 3 new tranny's, an EGR valve, O rings and Fuel injectors into it all in the 5 months ive had it plus whatever this is.... its rediculous!
