"Como?" is "what?" in Spanish. Good try though.

Como is only used when you use it in a sentence, such as "como te llamo?"

Que is used when it is it's own sentence. Now does this thread have a point or should it be locked?

Wrong again. "Como?" is a one word sentence asking "What?". "Que" is used in sentences as "what". Go ask any mexican working at mcdonalds, or better yet a Spanish teacher. I mean I only took Spanish 5 years what would I know..

My roommate was born in Durango, Mexico and he says Josh is correct. But then again, he doesn't work at McDonalds so maybe he isn't a true Mexican.
