I have a good drain on my battery, if I don't drive my 96 S-10 truck everyday I will have to jump start it. Is there any easy way of tracking down what is draing the power from my battery when the truck is off? Thanks.

I'd start by having the battery tested, may just be bad.

test the battery and charging system. if those are good, youll need an ammeter to test dark current draw. disconnest the negative terminal and hook the two test leads in series between the battery and the negative wire, close all doors and turn everything off. 40-50 MILLIAMPS is the absolute most you should see. if you do have excessive draw, just start pulling fuses one by one until the draw goes away, thatll give you a circuit to start looking at

In my van, the glove box light switch screwed up. I didn't see that the light was on (box closed). I removed the lamp, all is well.Maybe look for hidden light in your truck.
