brake switch problem

Hi everyone,

I just purchased a 1997 geo metro and the brake lights stopped working.. I am wondering how to remove the brake switch from underneath the dash.. i can not find out how I have searched everywhere.

any diagrams or info would be great

to remove it you have to loosen a nut on switch side of bracket then unscrew switchnut is on shaft of switch

did you check the fuses?

thanks for the replys.. I got the switch out and cleaned up the contacts and put it back together and now I have brake lights again...
