Teg stalls immediately after it starts

It is getting alot colder here 30-40 degrees. and my car is now doing this thing where I turn the key and it fires up but only for less than a second and then it immediately stalls. This will continue for a few times. Usually by about the time I start yelling profanity at it.
Then I can get it to start which leads me to believe either (a) It is demon possesed and needs its fix of profanity, (b) the fact that after a few unsuccessful starting attempts, I lightly press the gas and a few attempts later, it starts, (c) my actions mean nothing and this is an ignition related problem that fixes itself intermitantly, or (d) I am totally lost.
Plugs and wires are new, cap and rotor is ordered. Intake resonator was removed when I actually cared about getting a slight performance improvement and mean growl, so intake air is very cold, but no colder than a usual cold start. This is my $900 work beater, so it must start reliably.

try changing your main fuel relay (MFR). my 91 teg does the same thing...seems to start up but immediately dies, no matter how much you pat the gas. if i wait about 5 minutes, it starts ok. haven't gotten around to changing mine though. the part's around $60 at your local honda dealership. get an auto manual (haynes, etc.) for your teg & change it yourself to save some $$$.
