Bulb Replacement Question

I have a 2000 Cavy and the light in the next to the shifter that indicates what gear I'm in has blown. Anyone know how to replace it without undoing the entire console?? I'm pretty sure the plastic around the shifter comes out but don't want to go prying it up and breaking it into pieces.
