I got about 109,000 on my 97 blazer. It would seldomly die on me. I switched the horn and the fuel selionds in the glove box and nothing changed. after a few times i tossed a fuel pump at it and changed the fuel filter. every here and there it doesit. what happens is I'll turn the key to the on postion, and the raido will turn on, and i'm able to crank the engine but is won't start. The fuel pump doesn't pump, and none of my gauges flash. after waiting a little bit the seninoid in the glove box will click than all my gauges will turn on like check engine check, air bags, parking brake, and i'll hear my fuel pump, pump than my car will start and run no problem. and it will do the same sometimes when i'm driving and i'll have to wait for my gages to flash at me. so i'm lost on this problem please help!

Also the right front make what sounds like really really weak horn blow under soft accleration, or around a certian low RPM, i don't have a tach so i couldn't be exact but its at lower RPM's may be 2,000 ish???

If any one has this problem or can help id apprecated

As for the cranking and not starting, has the fuel pump relay been replaced?

Can you hear the fuel pump 'prime' when turning the key on but not starting?

that or;

I don't know much about it but '97s had problems with the ignition. Someone else here should be able to give more info.

No i didn't replace the fuel pump relay, but before i put in the pump i swaped it with the horn relay and i didn't have any change.

and when just the radio comes on, the pump does NOT prime just stays quiet untill the gauges flash at me than i'll here the pump, priming and it will start right up no problem

hmm...

May be a problem with the ignition itself; since faulty ignition problems are common on '97s. I dont know much about this problem; so others will help.

It really sounds like your ignition switch is the trouble. Here is a link in letting you know how to replace it.
