My diesel 98 3500 has been hard to start as the temps have dropped here in Vermont and today, at 20 degrees it won't start at all. I am waiting for AAA now. What would be the sequence of places to check? I do wait for the glow plug light to go off before I attempt to start it. It sounds like it is out of gas but it is not. Just moved East from Seattle, and it is going to get much colder here, help please!

Pat i would check the operation of your glow plug system and the fuel pressure at the fuel pump. (maybe your fuel is bleeding down at night from a bad regulator? So that you have know fuel pressure in the morning untill it cranks a bit?:banghead: It has to be somthing simple because there is not a hole lot to stop a diesel from running. Unfortunatly my experience is with road tracters and the motor you have may be drastically different. I would recomend that after you find this problem i would then install some sort of block heater and or fuel heating system, because as you said it gets stupidly cold in Vermont...jj
