Yeah, yellow headlights are not illegal in every state, most of the older volvos had yellow lights, and fog lights are yellow. You could paint the lense with transparent yellow paint, but its not going to really show up with the light on.

You DON'T want colored headlights. You'll just reduce your overall light output and it's going to make it hard to see at night. I tried Blue bulbs because I thought it would make the light a little whiter. Well that was a crock of bullshit right there. All it did was lower the light output and made it harder to see. So I swapped them out with a pair of Xtra Visions. For your safety, STICK WITH WHITE LIGHT!

Why the hell would you want yellow bulbs? Get a pair of Osram Silverstars - they're bright white

If the man wants them, let him have them.

yellow lights stand out a little more than plain old white bulbs, plus they show a different gammat of colors. When you couple them w/ white high beams (and use the high beams) you can cover almost all of the colors you need at night. I think that my Nokya yellows are better than the Silverstars that i used to have....

by white you mean the ones that are on the car...or new white bulbs?and will the yellow bulbs put off a yellow tint in the headlight?

My local Wal-Mart has dichromic yellow lamps made by Philips. They're called something like "all weather' lamps.

if you want yellow headlights or really bright Yellow Hella Foglights, i have a pair of headlights for sale, foglights w/ white or yellow bulbs and all the wiring.....
The headlight bulbs are 9006's and the Hella foglights are the FF50 Style w/ the stock white bulbs, but i have yellow Nokya H4's too....I have to sell them to make room for my intercooler and since i can't have yellow fogs, i'm going back to white w/ my headlights too. I want to attract as little attention as possible......
If you're interested, they're going cheap and i can send pics soon.....

Cover all the colors you need to see at night? You mean green, yellow and red?

I guess you could think of the dichromi glass as "minus blue". They cut down glare and penetrate fog and rain better, because the blue isn't there to reflect off the suspended water.
In France, I've read that the their headlights had to be yellow, but that changed with the EU, to be standard.
