For anyone not familiar, there's this whole patent issue thing right now between the company that makes BlackBerries and some other company suing them.
I'm asking the question that should really be asked: Who cares?
Now, it may be because I work with computers, telco, and network crap every day, and so I get tired of dealing with technology on a regualr basis. It may also be because I've yet to really have any need (nor desire) for a cell phone, and so I don't own one -- that's right, no cell phone, no pager, no text-messager, and no BlackBerry device (I really don't even know the first thing about them.) Or maybe it's just that I plain couldn't give a rat's ass about mobile communications devices, as the only time they really have any bearing on my life, is when I'm cut off by some friggin' clueless mom bopping along in her massive SUV with a phone plastered to her ear, or some teenybopper who thinks the soundtrack to a movie could only benefit from the addition of a garbled, tinny rendition of Jessica Simpson regurgitated into a ringtone.
At any rate, I'm wondering how popular these stupid BlackBerry things are anyways. Is it really the kind of item that could herald the fall of global communications if it was put on the back burner? Could a stupid little BlackBerry be the bane of mankind? :sly:
