Looking for coilover advice

What would be a good set of true coilovers to buy for street use. My 93 Accord has been lowered since 94. First using a set of Eibach drop springs (bouncy) and now a set of (JUNK) dropzone "slipovers" (coilovers that go over existing shocks) I'm interested in quality for the money, so please relevant experience is lot more helpful than "get Koni they're the best" -Thanks all!

First off you might want to try upgrading you current struts with something that is made for the purpose(KYB, Tokico, Bilstein, Koni) Stock struts and lowering springs will result in a shitty ride, I don't care what type of spring you use. Struts control the bounce.

How much are you willing to spend(coilovers, install, alignments, etc) up front? What will the car be used for?

It's a daily driver. I would like a decent ride (a little stiff seems better to me than too soft). Would adjustable damping be overkill? The shocks are due to be replaced again and I wanted to upgrade them since it seems much better units are readily available. Does anyone make a 1.25" lower that's just a bolt in? I would also like to replace the suspension bushings, sway bar bushings etc. Can you give some guidance on that as well? I've already done camber correction with urethane uppers. _ Thanks for your help

i daily drive with Tein HA's. It's not exactly the smoothest ride. BUT, i got them for a reason right? Thats right! Eat up all the corners. :)

I like my Skunk 2's....they were installed before i bought the car so i can't talk about the install, but i really like them. They give a stiff, yet comfortable ride and they live for the corners....

Anyone know how the Skunk2 full coilover system compares w/ the others mentioned in this thread....

I think adjustable height and adjustable dampening are BOTH overkill for street use. You will never use it for what it's designed for, but like I always say if I had a choice between adjuable height or dampening I'd much rather have dampening. For a "bolt-in" kit you should look into H&R's Cup Kit that comes with matched springs & struts but are NOT adjustable in any way. Another option would be using the Eibach's if you still have them with good adjustable struts. If you want true coilovers it's all on how much your willing to spend, price reflects quality when it comes to suspension. You could get something like Omni's for dirt cheap or spend over $3,000 for Toda's. www.modacar.com has a wide variety.

I'm not a fan of urethane bushing kits on street cars, they are harsh & noisy. Plus they are a PAIN IN THE ASS to install unless the car is brand new. We charge on average 10hrs of labor for full bushing kit installs. Mugen sells full rubber kits which are better suited for street use, but still a pain to install.

Are the H&R or other available in lowered configurations like the 1.25 lower I have now? - Thanks
