I have a 2001 durango and my rear control a/c unit will not put out hot air. I am able to receive hot air through my front a/c units but my back units is not hot! Please help. Even when I put the rear control located on the dash to hot it is not putting out hot air just cold. I have no idea where to even start looking except I know that my car has antifreeze.

My durango started doing the same thing a few months ago. It will only blow cold, no heat at all in the rear. I going to the dealership next week to get it looked at so i'll let you know what they say! Mabye it will be something simple that you can fix yourself.

it may sound weird to you, it did to me, but there is a heater core for the rear. i think is in the pannel just behind the rear door on the passengers side. i am not completely sure where it is, i just got this huge 4 inch thick book. but your heater core may be bad.

okay well i fixed my problem........... it was the rear flapper. the only thing is you have to buy the hole cover piece about $73.00 apparently it has broken before so the manufactures made it out of something different. Now I get hot hair. However, it is not as hot as the front but it is fixed now.

I'm having the same problem with my 01 Durango. Does anyone know where this flapper is for the rear?

Thanks!
