Now that I am back on my rocker..... I spoke w/ Privateer via e-mail to let him know I had a few ideas about the car he just finished! I didn't want Privateer to think I was copying his work!! He said go ahead!! So this is where I am... I will scratchbuild a frame, install a Pontiac motor and the wheels and tires will come from a modified racer! The first two pics show the stock body! The other four pics show the body with a 1/4" section taken out!! I used Tamiya 1/4" wide tape for the marking! Next up will be a chop of the top!!!!

I managed to get the top chopped last night! I left the stock body in the background to show the major change after the section and chop! The engine is there for mock-up purposes only! This THING is going to be sick!! Hey Quadzero, the wheels and tires are from a Revell modified racer?????

i love how it looks so far, kinda reminds me of the Li'l Coffin, my fav rod of all time. i think it was a '32 Ford sedan which was a severely chopped and one low, mean, sculpted machine, not unlike this '31 ford project:bigthumb:.

Personally I think choppin it that low is the only way to go. It just makes this thing look sick!!!! Great job man..............*Ryan*

o no dont get me wrong i like it but i usualy (thats wat i should have said) dont like them that low it suits this car. and you might need a rag top to stick you head out to see over the V8!!

That is the craziest, choppiest, freaky model A I have ever seen!!! Can't wait for this one!

I got the roof cut out now! That way the driver can see around/over the motor!! I have also decided to use the '65 Buick Nailhead for the mill!! I have to cut the doors down and start putting all the cut body parts back together!! As all of this is still in mock-up stages!

You have to have an 8-ball shifter through the roof!!!

I know what you mean Bagged_n_Dragged. There are only certain body styles that can take such a drastic chop like this and still look good. All of them being old classic body styles in my oppinion. But I know what you mean. Anyway this thing is looki wicked Dennis. I agree with MILLER_MP6 this does look like a shifters car. It's lookin great man.............*Ryan*

Here are a few updates, got the front suspension painted and mocked-up to where it needs to be! The front wheels are from the kit, they are sprayed go-mango orange! I have decided to use the '62 Catalina engine. I am in the process of painting it now! I will have a few more updates later this evening.....
