removing door panel

Hi I have a 1998 grand prix se 4 door. I would like to know how to safely remove the door panel to install the new speakers I just bought without messing up the window/lock controls. If there is a thread on this specific topic a link would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

the wires coming out of the door.. there is a red one and a gray one.. the gray is the negative and the red is the postive, correct?

The documentation I have shows gray as the return line (-) and red (+) as signal for the driver door side speakers.
