Celica-Supra

Im picking up a celica-supra for 100 bucks, only thing is when I start it it makes an extremely loud rattling/tapping noise. Sounds like the timing maybe? I checked the oil and theres no metallic fragments in it. Is there anything else that could be wrong and I should check?
