Hey all you VW dudes,

Do you guys know of any Empi speed parts in scale, for beetle kits? I was looking for these wheels in particular:

I think I have seen either Fujimi or Aoshima wheels that look similar to them. Anything similar will do in fact. I know..you are thinking torq thursts..I was looking for the lug design tho, how they are inbetween the spokes.

Any like these also?

These are cool too. But I think the ones on the Brat are 90% close enough.

Thanks,

How about a Fujimi Porsche kit for the first set? Don't the older Porsches have rims like that? And the last ones look like something you could find on an older truck, or a trailer kit like the Revell racecar trailer or whatever. I think I even has some in a AMT parts pack.

For the first rims, Empi 5 spokes, I never found a perfect replica. All I found are American Racing or Torq Thrust rims. They are really close to what you're looking for.
You have the T's from Pegasus:

But they are 23" rims, a bit too big for a beetle.

Or the American Racing from Machined Aluminium Specialties (http://www.mas-parts.com/cart/indexframe_phetchwhlcentrs.html)

Really nice and perfectly in scale. You can glue the spokes closer to the border so they look like Empis.

About the Empi 8 spokes, I know Fujimi makes a set but I can't remeber the name or reference. That's what I used on my oval beetle and it looks perfect IMO.

As Willimo said, you also have the solution to search old AMT or Revell kits. If you search into Muscle Cars, you'll have tons of cars with American Racing rims.

Sometimes, on Ebay, also appears 1/24 BRM and Rader wheels. I found them once but didn't win the auction. They are really rare and are perfect for an OldSchool project.

Hope it helps.

Check out AFX 'n Scale :

Look under "Stock Wheels". Wendell offers both the VW Torq Thrusts and VW Radir wheels.

Glad to help, Frank!
As for the site, hopefully soon. I want to redo the whole thing, but maybe I'll just do it a bit at a time.
By the way, I finished the Stoll quite some time ago. Here's a couple of pics:
