I wonder if I've set any records in the sale prices of ordinary models?? In the past I've sold a Yellow version F355 for $100, a Tamiya Mustang Cobra for $65.00 and just tonight sold a Revell 750il for $142.00.

Hmm....I was wondering if the modeling price guides use ebay as a reference. They would know if you have set any records. Who exactly "they" are, I have no idea. Those prices sound pretty good tho. I spent $60 combined on 2 Brat kits. :dunno: Good luck on finding your answer.

I hear ya brutha!
I've been sellin' stuff on Ebay for quite a few years and it still amazes me the prices are willing to pay/not pay.
The fluctuation between the two makes it rather hard to use it as "Price Guide" though . . . While I've had total junk kits sell for very high prices, I've also had very HIGH quality kits sell for mere pennies on the dollar . . . It's really hit or miss with Ebay. . .

wow, $65 for the crappy Tamiya Mustang kit. wow, someone really got screwed on that one. The Revell and even the AMT kits are much much better then the Tamiya

I have made sells on Ebay of such prices, that's the great thing about it....no one twists the buyers arm to buy at what may seem an inflated price, to them it's worth it....and if it turns out that isn't the case they can post it on Ebay and sell it to the highest bidder just the same.

well if its the tamiya cobra i'm thinking of, its the 95 cobra r, which im pretty sure you can't get from revell and amt, so i guess its how much you want to pay for the specific car.

ebay's a hit or miss, sometimes you buy for ridiculously low prices and sometimes the prices are stupidly high.
