I was searching through old post trying to find an answer to a question I had asked a long time ago on here. All I found was my old post. So... here goes....

I recently replaced half the front end of my 98gtp as some of you may remember helping me.
Since I have done all this I've developed some nasty noises.
Fisrt, horrible squeak. I can't blame the brakes, it mainly does it when I turn right. If i just roll forward its not to bad, but when I am turning right, its very loud.
Also, when I am turning I hear someting knocking. Its like a bolt is missing or something. Ive triple checked everything under there. Its all tight. This one is especially noticable when I am backing out of the drive way turning the wheel.
Here is a list of the work that was done before my new noises.
output seals (leaking)
drive axles (CV's busted)
tie rod ends (shot)
hubs (bearings trashed)
control arm bushings (split)
tires
camber adjustment bolts 4x
coupler
SC oil
3.4 pulley
water pump (leaking, shot)
belts
transmission fluid, filter
CAI

The knocking noise has been taken care of. The left front is definitely squeaking when I turn right. One thing that is weird to me is that it does it at low speeds as well... when not that much additional weight would be on it. At this point, I can only think I bought a bad wheel hub.
I'm tired of making every dog in the neighborhood bark when I pull in my drive!!! HELP!!!

This certainly sounds like a bad wheel bearing to me. The install probably made an already existing problem come to the forefront. When you remove the assembly, if you didn't use a new axle nut when you put the shaft in I suggest you do so not to insure that you get the proper torque on the nut.

I agree with GTPDad.
BTW - You didn't by chance get some off the wall brand on the hub and bearings. Was it OEM or aftermarket?

BTW - You didn't by chance get some off the wall brand on the hub and bearings. Was it OEM or aftermarket?

Hub is a part to get OEM only....I bought a hub that was made in Korea and was distributed through Mexico,...name..Federal Mogul, luckily i found this out before install, i traded in for AC DElco, and it cost 30 more for the part...Also this job mandates all parts must tourqed--->EXACT, even lugnuts. If you over tighten metal can bend and you can get a squeek. Check the rotors and brake pads and look for abnormal wear. If hub is slightly askew it may cause uneven wear.
