2000 XJ classic 4.0 I think . Jeep will turn over no problem no check engine lights are on. When you turn it over and give it gas it will start. It wont stay running unless you give it gas. Once you let off the gas pedal it dies again. Then it will finally give and stay running. This is the second time it has happened. any idea? Thanks

Idle control motor, MAF or Throttle position sensor are some things that come to mind. I would suggest having the codes pulled anyway(Not all trouble codes request that the check engine light be turned on).

No codes where there Had it checked at autozone today.
