Lowering my car

I am thinking about lowering my car with some adjustable coilovers. Will this cause any problems for my 90 hatch DX? Will I need a camber kit(s)? Will my tires rub on the fender wall if I go over any speed bumps or anything. Is it easy to adjust the coilovers once they're on the car?

depending on how low you go it would or would not need a camber kit. anything over 1.7 inches lowered needs one. Its eaiser to adjust the coilovers when the car is jacked up, but i know that Ground Controls use one wrench so they might be able to be adjusted without jacking up the car. the only thing you gotta be careful about speedbumps is going straight over them. i usually go over them at an angle, so i dont scrape the bottom of my car on the bump.

Does each coilover adjust the same (in inches or someting) so you can have the same height in the front and the back of your car. Will I know right away if my tires are rubbing and I need camber kit?

Coilovers are super easy to adjust..
I can do mine in about 20-30 minutes.

Oh so you got your coilovers installed at a local shop and then they told you or you fuigured ouot how to adjust them?

Usually, they come with 2 wrenches, and what you do is loosen the bottom perch, then you can adjust the height by loosening or tightening the other perch. once you get it to the desired height then you tighten the first perch you moved. that locks it in place and your done

Yeah, I got mine installed at a shop.
after they were installed, they showed me how to adjust them.
The rear i can do without taking my rim off, but the front i need to remove them. Taking off the rim is the hardest part of the whole job :)

That's good. But I don't really care about adjusting the height of my car.

So... I don't know whether to buy lowering springs or coilovers!

I just want to lower my car like 1 inch because I don't want to have by camber kits and I also want good handling and a smooth ride.

I'd say get a set of Eibach springs, and a new set of shocks. They have a good ride from what ive heard and they lower the car 1.5 to 1.7 inches so you wont need a camber kit

I second that choice. I have the eibach prokit springs and they are probaly some of the nicest street springs around. Get like either tokico blue shocks or KYB GR2 shocks and you'll be good to go i'd say. No real need for coilovers if you don't need the adjustment. At least with the springs you'll know the adjustment (drop) is the same all around.

i can get you those springs for A decent price.

With my new springs, will this cause any problems with my car lowered about 1-1.5 inches. my 16" rims won't go through my fender walls or anything?
