Hello everyone,
My car is making a rattling/roaring noise which i have identified to be coming from the beginning of the pipe after it comes from the engine. There is a cup shaped end on one pipe and another pipe sits into it...is this a flex pipe?
If you have any idea what i'm talking about, could you let me know a few things about repairing it (ex: easy or hard), and what the price of the part might be.
Thanks for any help you can give!

Thats not a flex pipe, thats just were the manifold bolts to the exhaust pipe. Any noise there could be caused by a bad doughnut gasket. If you can remove the bolts or nuts, you can change it. A gasket shouldn't be any more than $20.

Really..a gasket..should be a pretty easy repair then. Thanks a lot!

Remember, use penetrating lubricant on those, and let them sit for a few minutes before you break them loose, or they may break.
