Hey Forum!!
I am in need major help with removing the oil pan of my 1996 ford ranger [2X4 - manual]. With some help I figured out that my oil pump was shot. I purchased a new one, however, removing the oil pan to replace the pump is a major pain. I have reached as far as lifting the motor and unbolting the pan. But I still can't get the clearance needed to pull the pan out. Any help with an easier route will be helpful.

Generally you have to drop the oil pump to remove the pan, so I usually pull the engine.
