Brighter fog lamps

Anybody have any part numbers or ideas on how to brighten up fog lamps? I would like mine to be brighter or more powerful since I drive at night. Outside lights on this car have been excellent, haven't even replaced a side marker but I would like brighter fog lamps. Anybody know of any aftermarket bulbs, specs, links to information, etc.. that will make these lights useful or worthwhile? :feedback:

Put Silverstars in mine when I did the headlamps, look nice. Can't overpower the housings with anything too strong or they will melt.

I agree, i have silverstars in my alero, both headlamps and high beams, and they look great. Should look great for fog lamps.

Silverstars sound like what I need. Do you think they are brighter? I agree I don't want to melt the assembly but these things should be a little more functional. Can I get these at Advance or the local autoparts? Any ideas on cost? Do you have a picture?

They are the same wattage 55/65. This is the same wattage as your standerd light. you will love these, trust me! once you get the lights, you will never go back to stock. for 2 lights, it will caust about 30 bucks, there is a down side though, if you are using them for headlights, they will go every year, (blow out) But they are worth it.

Regular price is anywhere from $18 to $30 each. Wait for coupons in Sunday newspapers, they are there almost every weekend for some store. Do the high into low mod described in an earlier thread, GREAT results! I have had mine for a year and a half with no burnouts. Tip; clean well the light socket o-rings and lightly grease them with silicone(die-electric tune-up grease)before installing new bulbs. Keeps the moisture out, therefore longer lifespan. The wattage in the Silverstar fog bulbs is slightly higher than stock but don't expect a huge difference. These lights were designed to add more visibility directly in front of the car, out to about fifteen feet.
