Sub Enclosure

A big box can give u a boomy sound? how can I get low Friquency like 20hz with my TS-W304C sub. 300nominal input 600max. any suggestion??? thank's in advance.

I got a design that'll whoop anybox you can buy at a store, It'll put out 20hz with at little as 1 ft^3 per speaker.

The only catch is......it requires two subwoofers to perform correctly.

use a ported box if you want the boom. I don't know much about boxes in general, but getting to low frequency tends to do more with the sub itself and whether it's capable or not. Your best bet is to build your own box, made with good material, if you want to achieve the most out of your sub.

You can put a sub with an Fs of 18hz into the wrong sized box and not get below 40hz.
I also build boxes where you can put a sub with a sensitivity of 90db/1W/1M and an Fs of 35 and produce an impressive 20hz-25hz wave.
Just gotta know your enclosures.

I was using 1.2 cu ft. sealed box but sound too tight, u mean that when i put the port it will make boomy? yes fine!! that's what i like Boomy sound, what zise of port lenght and Dia. i shuold make, where is the best side of box is better to put the ports :) :)

yea, it's called isobarik ..... nothing new, I have a set of JL 12W5's in an iso enclosure sitting in the house

Sealed enclosures are best for jazzy or acoustic kind of music. The bass is tight and clean. most people i know with subs have sealed enclosures and they only get 10" subs with a 200-250 watt amp. Ported or vented enclosures are for the rap music fans who want to annoy anyone 3 miles around them (i don't have a problem with this) :naughty:. I like putting the ports facing forward, just simple that way. That's most of what i know about boxes. I've never built my own box and the bandpass box i have now I got for free (has 4 ports, very boomy) :biggrin: . If you want really boomy bass I suggest getting a box with two ports plus boomy bass is best with bigger subs like a 12". My next sub will be one of Audiobahn's Flame Q series subs cuz they are designed for ported enclosures and I also know one kid with 2 12" Audiobahns in his Tahoe. Damn near deafening.

Damn near deafening. i hit 178.6 db with my 4 12" ma audio subs in a ported box. IM powering them with two 1200 watt kicker amps. beat that, and im only in 11th grade in high school!
