4x4

This summer I replaced the rear on my 1994 4x4 Jimmy. The vehicle has over 130K miles. The 4x4 switch lights up & you can hear it click but the 4x4 is not engaging.

What can the problem(s) be? I'll like to have an idea before taking it to repair shop.

its probably something in the t-case idk what tho
