I just recently purchased a 1995 prelude sr-v obviously has an H22.
I've done a few minor mod's like short ram K&N, New Plugs and wires exhaust... and was told that a header would make the car run to hot over long distances?? Is this true ? And If not does a header really improve hp enough to make them worth while ?? Ive also heard that an rmf header can give me up to 20 that pretty frickin good if its true. And what do those cost. Sorry im bran new with honda. Had a talon what a piece. That was the worst car i have ever owned, My tercel was more reliable.

Like I said in the intake thread, a header is defanetly a good idea. 15-20whp for around 800 or so with the RMF sure sounds good to me.

A good header that is better than the stock unit costs too much for the Prelude in my opinion. Your money is better put elsewhere.

I dont know, if your going for a GOOD NA set-up, a header can't be ignored. And with the RMS and SMSP units producing up to around 20 hp, why not drop a little cash on it?

Well still nothing in stone, But thanks for the help. Now i've got bigger worries than a header. Whomever did the timing on the car before i bought it cross threaded the crank shaft I think? the bolt that goes through the crank pulley? either way Its broken off now and a new crank is 2000 $$ canadian. So i bought a new japanese jdm for 1500$$ including shipping with 40000 miles and im just gonna replace it. less $ and I'll fix the crank and sell the old longblock locally they are pretty rare so i should get some ok coin. any advice from anyone??

my buddy that dyno'd his RMF made 15 more whp than the other ludes that were dynoing. I just got my car street tuned and its like a night and day difference.

How did your street tune go anyways? I didnt think you were getting it tuned till the 2nd of december, or was that your dyno tune? Well let me know how it went incase i dont get over to pp or superhonda.

Kind of a stupid question, but what's the difference between a street tune and a dyno tune? I know what a dyno tune is, but is a street tune just the same thing, minus the actual dyno machine?

basically. You just drive around on the street and tune. Its a good way to tune your motor to get good gas mileage and get your a/f perfect across the board. You tune for power on the dyno.

Go with the RMF Header, that's what I'm saving for now.
