I believe you are asking if it is possible to swap to a DOHC head correct? If so there has been talk that it is possible to bolt up the vr4 head up to the engine but that you will have clearance issues with the rear bank head and the firewall. So even if they do bolt up they won't fit anyway without a good bit of fabrication which would probably not be worth it anyway. Do a search on here and on club3g.com cause its been discussed many times before.
On an unrelated note: is anyone having problems getting on club3g? Everytime I type it into my browswer it takes me to www.muellerized.com which I assume is a joke but my girlfriend can get there fine at her college so I don't know what's up.

yeah they are having major problems at club3g. originally, they switched servers b/c the current company that was hosting the server had horrible customer service. so they switched to this other company that they thought was better. well, they were better but that company had a limit on the usage of the site. so we were constantly getting server errors when we hit that limit.
so they switched to another company that many other car forums use. well during this switch, the second company totally deleted the account and the DNS name from all records. this is why you were having to use the IP of the site. After two days of the DNS not updating so that you could use the site name, the admins checked on it. thats when they found out about the account being deleted.
The solution, JR(Strider) is the guy that runs the site for RRE.com and Mullerized.com and he was going to add club3g.com to his package with that same company. So it seems that the company has the sites mixed up and is showing the mullerized.com site instead of club3g.com.
Now to answer the question....the bolt pattern of the VR4 head is different from the 3G V6 bolt pattern. so even if you did the modifications to the firewall to make it work, you would have to drill new holes. have fun with that.

the SOHC setup is also designed very well and you shouldn't need to add another cam for any N/A applications because it will not yield a substancial gain

agreed. if you are trying to build a 30psi+ engine, then yes, you should look into the swap for the ability to tune the engine better. but if you are not going to be a track/dyno queen, then it is not a practical swap.
